Washing Wool

Wash wool items carefully by hand using a gentle detergent, cool water (30 degrees C) and not too much friction, to avoid shrinkage and felting. Soak for 15 minutes, drain then rinse in water of same temperature. Gently press to remove water.

Reshape while flat on top of dry towels. Press down to remove excess water, or roll up with towels like a scroll and squeeze.

Allow to dry flat. A steam iron will help finish.

Washing Cotton

Cotton items can be carefully machine washed at 40 degrees C, then pulled back into shape, and finished with an iron once dry.
